With an average temperature of 24 degrees C, Lake Walchsee in the Kaiserwinkl region is a popular destination known beyond the borders. Four bathing spots around the lake invite you to jump into the water, enjoy the sun and relax.
Popular sports here are rubber dinghy or rowing boat riding and SUP, whereby a fee is charged for own boats - boats with electric motors are not permitted. Water skiing at Lake Walchsee is possible as part of a trial course. The already mentioned four bathing beaches include the Lake Promenade with shallow lake access, where a water trampoline, the iceberg fixed in the lake, and the pirate ship in the children's playground await the little guests. There is fine sand, just like on the beach...
In addition, there are the quieter bathing meadows "South" and "Seemühle", as well as the eastern shore: On this "Ostufer" area, a beach bar, a beach volleyball court and the 800 sqm Wibit Aqua-Funpark with blobbing complete the offer. A separate section there - the only one on the lake - also offers an opportunity for four-legged friends to swim. There is a car park at each beach.

The lido stays open every day from the end of May resp. early June to the end of September. The opening times may vary in case of bad weather. Bathing season start 2025 at the end of May.
The Karl2o water sports centre, offering boat rentals and water ski lessons, opens as early as Easter or the 1st of May 2025, depending on the weather. You can reach it at +43 676 7876 129.
Depending on the weather, the start and the end of the bathing season may be extended or shortened with a short-term notice resp. postponed to another day. Please ask in advance!
