The Bäderbus service takes you from Tristach to the eponymous lake, a bathing lake at the foot of the Lienz Dolomites

In a small valley south of Lienz, surrounded by the mountain scenery of the Lienz Dolomites, you can find East Tyrol's only bathing lake. It is Lake Tristach, named after the eponymous village right next to it, on the shore of which there is a popular lido. The water warms up to pleasant 24 degrees C in summer and is of excellent quality. In addition to swimming in the lake, you can relax on the lawns and jetties, walk around the lake on a shady path, or exercise on the beach volleyball court and diving tower. There is a playground for children.
The Lido Lake Tristach, or Seebad Tristach in German, which is managed by the town of Lienz together with the Dolomitenbad Lienz, a swimming pool with sauna world which is open all year round, is rounded off by a cosy terrace café. Sun loungers and parasols can be rented.
The Regiobus Lienz (line 1 and 2) takes you from Lienz to Tristach, and the Bäderbus from Tristach to the lake. There is also a car park - chargeable in the summer months - and a camping site.
