On the southern shore of Lake Piburg in the Oetztal Nature Park is a restaurant directly on the lake that prepares fresh trout. But it is also known for its bathing facility, which invites you to enjoy the lake, which is up to 24 degrees C warm, and the beautiful surroundings in the summer months.
The access to the lake is barrier-free, and you will also find a sunbathing area and a rowing boat rental, which is very popular to spend some quiet hours on the water. The rowing boats are built in the traditional Zillertal style and are available for half an hour or a whole hour.
The surrounding area offers even more outdoor activities, including beautiful hiking paths in the nature park that lead to sights such as the Wellerbrücke bridge, the area near the Oetztaler Ache river, and Lake Habich. Fishing in Lake Piburg is possible from May to October. A chargeable car park is located at the hamlet of Piburg, from there it is a 30-minute walk to the lake, alternatively 1 hour from the Posthotel Kassl in Oetz (stop of the public bus line).

Also 1-hour tickets, 3-hour tickets and evening tickets (from 5 pm) available. Sunshades brought along with yourself are not allowed.
The Lido Lake Piburg stays open every day from mid-May to mid-September. The opening times may vary in case of bad weather. No access for dogs. Bathing season start 2025 on May 16.
The restaurant at Lake Piburg starts the 2025 season already at the end of April. It is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm, in case of fine weather longer hours in the evening, no rest day.
Depending on the weather, the start and the end of the bathing season may be extended or shortened with a short-term notice resp. postponed to another day. Please ask in advance!
