The Bathing Pond Rossau, in German called Baggersee Rossau, is a lake in the outskirts of Innsbruck and part of the quarter Amras. Comprising an area of 2.8 hectares, the pond is, beside Lake Lans, the largest lake in the city area and a well-known destination in summer months.

Moreover you have the possibility to play beach volley, badminton, basketball, football and table tennis. For mothers with babies, a mother-child facility is available. In autumn comes the time for those who love windsurf.
For your car or bike free pounds are available, the entrance fees for the quarry pond are invested in the maintenance of the facility. The water of the quarry pond can reach about 24 degrees and remains clean despite of the fact that this facility is more than popular - the water quality is still level II. Off-season the lake is inhabited by a number of water birds, e.g. swans and cormorants.
