Three diverse areas stretch across the snow-sure north face of the Kitzbüheler Horn in the Kitzbühel Alps, together forming the St. Johann in Tirol Skiing Area: Eichenhof with its wide, gentle slopes, Harschbichl at the Hochfeld with the fun slope, and Oberndorf in Tirol with the steepest descents. A total of 40 kilometres of slopes of all difficulty levels await you. These include a mogul slope and the challenging 1,000-metre vertical drop of the Sauregg FIS descent.
The longest descent in St. Johann in Tirol leads down the Rueppenhang, often used as a training run by Austrian ski racers before the famous Hahnenkamm Race. For snowboarders, there's the Hochfeld Snow Park and the small Eichenhof halfpipe. The multiple awarded Kitzbüheler Horn terrain is among the most popular snowboarding spots in Tyrol.
A particular highlight are the many cosy ski huts, enticing visitors with sun terraces and regional delicacies, perfect for relaxing under the Tyrolean sun. Three marked routes are available for ski tourers. And after skiing, how about an extra dose of thrills on the Flying Fox winter course at the Climbing Forest Hornpark? The St. Johann in Tirol Skiing Area is part of the 3 Country Leisure Arena, which connects several resorts in the border triangle of Tyrol, Salzburg, and Bavaria.
