Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000

This ski region in the heart of the Zillertal Alps combines the Hintertux Glacial Skiing Area and the Mayrhofen Skiing Area

The Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000 offers more than 200 km of ski slopes and almost 80 state-of-the art facilities. It includes the glacial skiing area in Hintertux and the lift facilities of Mayrhofen, Eggalm, Rastkogel and Finkenberg, providing a great variety of winter sports experiences, but also several starting points to choose from. The lifts can be found e.g. in Mayrhofen, where the Ahorn and Penken Cable Cars are located, in Tux where the famous Glacier Bus starts, and in Finkenberg.

In the Mayrhofen Skiing Area, which includes the Eggalm Pasture and the Rastkogel, Penken and Ahorn mountains, families can look forward to the FamilyPark, and carvers to the wide slopes of the Leisure Mountain Ahorn. Skiers, who love the shiver of the speed, will enjoy the Action Mountain Penken, where one of the best snow parks of Austria is located: the PenkenPark. On Mt. Penken, adrenaline junkies can also risk skiing on the Harakiri Slope, characterized by a downhill gradient of 78 % and a length of 1 km - it is steeper than an approach of a ski jump. The offer is completed by experiences off the slopes, which are called PistenBock and Falconer's Haven.

When other ski resorts close, you can still hit the slopes on the Hintertux Glacier: A distinction is made here between winter skiing area, open between October and May, and glacial skiing area, where a third of the slopes are also accessible in summer. It is one of the five glaciers in Tyrol and barrier-free - all cable cars are accessible at ground level. Already years ago, the Hintertux Glacier was declared "Best glacier ski resort worldwide", and today it is highly appreciated as a top training destination by athletes from all continents. The highlights include the Hintertux Fun Slope, the Flea Park and the impressive Schwarze Pfanne Valley Run, but also magical places such as Nature's Ice Palace. The popular Zillertal Super Ski Pass is, by the way, valid in both skiing areas.
