Piste fun and alpine charm in the Stubai Valley: your winter adventure at Schlick 2000
Image gallery: Schlick 2000 Skiing Area - Stubaital
At the entrance to the Stubaital, Schlick 2000, the valley's largest ski resort, awaits. Despite its size, it offers a pleasant and manageable atmosphere. The Kreuzjoch Cable Car, located on the edge of Fulpmes, is easily accessible by the Stubai ski bus, which runs between Schönberg, Schlick 2000, and Mutterberg. From there, you ascend to the Kreuzjoch mountain station at 2,240 metres above sea level, where 25 kilometres of pistes of all difficulty levels await. Among the lifts is the energy-efficient Galtbergbahn, the Stubai Valley's first 10-person gondola lift.
For younger guests, Big Ron's Kinderland at the Stubai Ski School is just the right place. Children from one year old are cared for in the play and warm-up room. Snowboarders and freeskiers will find steep gullies, cliff drops, and cornices in the backcountry. Against the impressive backdrop of the Kalkkögel mountain range, you can practice jumps and tricks on the Free Nature halfpipe.
Schlick 2000 was the first ski resort to introduce the Skiline altitude chart. Your ski pass allows you to record the vertical metres covered during your ski day. A special feature is the night toboggan run: Every Wednesday evening, the valley ski run transforms into a toboggan run. The Ski Plus City Pass Stubai Innsbruck is valid at Schlick 2000, giving you access to 12 ski resorts. With a 4-day ski pass or longer, you automatically receive the Stubai Super Ski Pass, which is valid in all the valley's ski resorts. Winter paragliders and ski tourers are also frequently seen here.
