Schattwald-Zöblen Skiing Area - Tannheimer Tal

Winter fun at the Wannenjoch and Rohnenspitze mountains, at the entrance to the Tannheimer Valley

The Schattwald-Zöblen Skiing Area is located close to the German border. In winter, the 1,907-metre-high Wannenjoch near Schattwald and the Rohnenspitze near Zöblen in the Allgäu Alps transform into a compact winter sports area. 18.7 kilometres of pistes and varied slopes await you. Schattwald-Zöblen is one of three ski resorts open in the Tannheimer Tal during the 2024/25 winter season. The Wannenjoch Chairlift starts at the edge of Schattwald, while the Rohnenspitze Chairlift and the Mühlhang Lift are located above Zöblen. A free ski bus connects the two villages.

Whether you're a beginner or a pro, you'll find the right descent here. In addition to easy and intermediate pistes, the Rohnenspitze also boasts a FIS-homologated race track for slalom and giant slalom. This has already been used for training runs by women's national teams, including those from Switzerland and Japan. The blue connecting run takes you from the Rohnenspitze to the Wannenjoch, with its easier, blue-marked pistes.

For the little ones, there's a course and a ski carousel on the Pumuckl slope. If there's enough snow in winter, a toboggan run for children is also prepared near the Wies district of Schattwald. Schattwald-Zöblen is part of the Ski Tannheimer Tal network. This means that during the 2024/25 season, you can also explore the Füssener Jöchle and Neunerköpfle Ski Resorts.
