Innsbruck at your feet: piste fun and tobogganing on the gently rolling Rangger Köpfl
Image gallery: Rangger Köpfl Skiing Area - Innsbruck
The Rangger Köpfl near Oberperfuss sits at an altitude of almost 2,000 metres. The free Innsbruck holiday region ski bus takes you directly from the main train station to the ski resort every hour. The first lift opened here as early as 1967 - today, the modern Peter-Anich I Cable Car sweeps up from the edge of the village. A little above the village is the Egghof Lift.
At the top of Rangger Köpfl, a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains awaits: from the Mieming Range to the Wetterstein and Karwendel Mountains, and on to the Lechtal and Tux Alps. The approximately 17 kilometres of pistes are ideal for beginners and families. There's a dedicated Kids Park with a magic carpet and a practice lift for children. Snowboarders and freeskiers will have fun in the Soft Funpark with kickers and a few obstacles near the mountain station.
Fancy a pit stop? Three mountain huts - Stiglreith, Sulzstich and Rosskogelhütte - invite you to take a cosy break. Tobogganing fans will love the Rosskogelhütte natural toboggan run, which is even floodlit over an eight-kilometre section. On tobogganing evenings, both gondola lifts operate up to Sulzstich. Night skiing is available twice a week. There's a dedicated car park for ski tourers to the west of the ski resort and a separate ascent route. As in 11 other ski resorts in the region, the Ski Plus City Pass Stubai Innsbruck is also valid in the Rangger Köpfl Skiing Area.
