Rosshütte, Leutasch, Gschwandtkopf, Birkenlift & Geigenbühel and Neuleutasch form one large skiing area: the Olympic Region Seefeld Skiing Area. Seefeld itself is an urban centre on a sunny plateau, protected by the Karwendel Mountains and the Wetterstein Mountains. The high plateau above it is really snow sure - once snow has fallen in this region, it persists until late spring.
The sunny Rosshütte Skiing Area on Mt. Härmelekopf is the largest of the five areas: With Sporti's Kinderland, which features a slalom course as well as several obstacles, it offers also its own practice area. The skiing area of the Happy Gschwandtkopf Lifts on the 1,495 m high Gschwandtkopf, however, is an ideal training location for ski teams with a stunning panoramic view. For children there are the Happy Schleppi t-bar lift and a magic carpet called Pfarrhügel.
Among the three smaller skiing areas there's the one on Mt. Katzenkopf, which distinguishes itself for the nighttime skiing and the 2.5 km long Katzenkopfhütte toboggan run, which is illuminated once a week. The Katzenkopf Mountain Hut itself is a wonderful place with panoramic view on the Leutaschtal valley and the North Tyrol Limestone Alps. On its sun terrace, homemade delicacies such as Kaiserschmarrn and cakes are served. To complete the offer, there are the Birkenlift & Geigenbühel Lifts with Birky's Wonderland for kids and the Snow Tubing Slope, as well as the sunny Neuleutasch practice slope. With the Happy Ski Card, you can use all of these skiing areas.
