The Wurmkogl and the Hohe Mut Cable Cars whisk you up Tyrol's most scenic mountain, offering breathtaking glacier panoramas. Enjoy fantastic views from both Mt. Hohe Mut and the futuristic panorama bar of the Top Mountain Star at Mt. Wurmkogl. The 25 lift facilities include the 8-person gondola Top Express, connecting Obergurgl and Hochgurgl, as well as the new Kirchenkar Cable Car. Its valley station is the Top Mountain X-Cross Point: This multifunctional building also houses the toll station for the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road, Europe's highest motorcycle museum, and a restaurant crafted from wood and steel.
At an altitude of 3,000 metres, 112 kilometres of pistes await. Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, one of the first non-glacial ski areas to do so, opens its ski season in mid-November. Since 2023, Hochgurgl has also hosted the Alpine Ski World Cup, with two World Cup races taking place in November. Beginners are best starting at the Geiselsberg Lift, Mahdstuhl Lift, and the practice lift. Experienced skiers will find exhilarating slopes at the Festkogl and at the Schermerspitze peak. Truly challenging are the steep mogul slope from the Hohe Mut Alm and the piste at the Wurmkogl.
Snowboarders and freestylers can look forward to the Quattro Snow Park Obergurgl and the Fun Mountain in Obergurgl. Extras like First Line, a selfie cam, and night skiing add further variety. A free ski bus and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the ski area complete the offering. Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is one of the six ski areas covered by the Oetztal Super Ski Pass. A global innovation is the "artificial snow cloud," which produces high-quality powder snow at the touch of a button.
