The skiing area of the Tannheimer Bergbahnen with its Ice Age Kinderland offers snow and fun on 11.5 km of slopes

The skiing area of the Tannheimer Bergbahnen lift facilities is located on the Neunerköpfle, a 1,862 m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps. It rises southeast of Tannheim and is comfortably accessible by the Neunerköpfle Cable Car. The large parking space at the valley station of the cable car, where also the landing place for paragliders is located, can be found at the edge of the village.
The 11.5 km of slopes of Mt. Neunerköpfle - one of the five skiing areas in the valley - are easy or medium difficult, only the valley run is rather steep and classified as black slope. It overcomes an altitude difference of 1,000 m. On the beginners' area with magic carpet at the valley station, kids can try their first steps on the skis between the giant characters of the movie "Ice Age". The name of the area, Gigge-Hi, derives from the dialect expression "da gig i hi" (I'll take a look there).
However, despite of the great experiences on skis, you should not forget to stop for a hot drink at the refuges, e.g. at the Hubertus Mountain Hut, located directly at the intermediate station, or the Gundhütte Ski Hut, about 5 minutes away from the mountain station at 1,820 m a.s.l. The small toboggan hill and the 9er-lebnis Path around Mt. Neunerköpfle complete the offer: It is a groomed winter hiking trail which starts at the mountain station and includes several wonderful viewpoints.
