On the Mutters Alpine Pasture near Innsbruck there’s the Götzens Slope, one of the most beautiful forested ski runs in Austria

At the entrance of the Stubaital there is the hiking area Muttereralm, which in winter transforms into a small family skiing area. The Muttereralm Cable Car was constructed in the 1950s and rebuilt some years ago - in 2006 the Muttereralm Skiing Area was re-inaugurated. It offers two access points: The Muttereralm Cable Car starts from the village of Mutters, furthermore there's the Nockspitz Cable Car in Götzens. A free ski bus runs between Innsbruck and the skiing area.
16.5 km of well-groomed slopes are waiting for you - the major part of them are easy and medium difficult. Two slopes are family runs, furthermore there's the FIS run for those who love challenges, the Pfriemesköpfl Slalom Race Track and the Götzens Slope, one of the most beautiful forested ski slopes in Austria, which was put in place as a reserve route for the Olympic Winter Games. The most challenging one, however, is the 1 km long race track in the Muttereralm Skiing Area.
100 % of the slopes can be groomed with artificial snow. Three toboggan runs - the family toboggan run, the sports track and the natural toboggan run Götzner Alm - as well as the kids' park at the mountain station complete the winter offer of the Muttereralm. At certain times, e.g. on Wednesday evenings, the ski slopes are accessible for ski tourers.
