The Lienz Bergbahnen lift facilities whisk you up to the Zettersfeld Ski Resort, awarded the Tyrolean Ski Slope Seal of Approval. The resort, which spans the municipalities of Thurn and Nussdorf-Debant, is easily accessible by ski bus. Over 20 kilometres of slopes await, readily reached via the Zettersfeld Cable Car from Gaimberg, on the outskirts of Lienz. The expansive, avalanche-safe terrain is known for its predominantly easy and intermediate slopes. Deep-snow slopes, mogul runs, and a fun park for snowboarders add to the allure.
Speed enthusiasts will find their thrill in the race area. In previous years, Lienz's local mountain, the Hochstein, was also part of the Lienzer Bergbahnen Skiing Area offering. While the two areas weren't directly connected, they could be accessed with a single ski pass. However, the Hochstein Skiing Area is not operating during the 2024/25 winter season.
Zettersfeld in the Lienz Dolomites is also certified as a Tyrolean family ski resort. Special offers for children include childcare, child-friendly pricing, and the Moosalm Kinderland. Paragliders and ski tourers also appreciate the mountain. And for those who enjoy a good party, the Ski Opening with the Ö3 Disco or the Summit Sessions are the perfect fit. The Zettersfeld Ski Resort is part of SKI)HIT Carinthia East Tyrol, along with the St. Jakob im Defereggental Ski Centre, the Sillian Ski Centre, and the Grossglockner Resort Kals-Matrei, among others.
