KitzSki: home of the “Streif” slope, one of the world’s most challenging downhill runs

Nestled in the Kitzbühel Alps lies the KitzSki Ski Resort, operated by the Bergbahn Kitzbühel AG. The spectacular Kitz 3S Cable Car has, for years, linked the skiing area of the Chamois Town with Jochberg, the Thurn Pass, and Mittersill. This connection created a sprawling area that stretches from the Hahnenkamm in Kitzbühel to the Resterkogel in Salzburg, Austria. It encompasses the Hahnenkamm-Pengelstein, Kitzbüheler Horn-Bichlalm, Jochberg-Resterhöhe, Gaisberg areas, and the practice slopes in Kitzbühel, Kirchberg in Tirol, Aschau bei Kirchberg, and Reith bei Kitzbühel.
All practice lifts in the valley are free to use. Your ski pass also grants you discounted entry to the bathing, spa and health centre Aquarena Kitzbühel. The Fleckalm Cable Car, starting in Kirchberg, whisks you up to over 230 kilometres of pistes and magnificent ski routes. Perhaps you're drawn to the legendary "Streif" downhill run, a leisurely ski through the wooded slopes of Kirchberg, or the KitzSkiWelt Tour, the world's longest ski circuit? The KitzSki Kitzbühel-Kirchberg is particularly family-friendly, boasting the Bärenland children's area, with its hand-carved, life-sized bears in Jochberg, the Kitz Mini-Streif, the SnowX track on the Kitzbüheler Horn, and the KitzSki Family Park.
For snowboarders, there are three parks: the Hanglalm Snow Park, the Kitzbüheler Horn Snow Park, and the Jufenbeach Skill Park with its perfectly groomed mogul slope. Kitzbühel is also renowned for its après-ski! Every January, the world's skiing elite gathers for the Hahnenkamm Race. Travelling from Bavaria? The KitzSki Xpress offers a convenient and eco-friendly daily transfer from Munich, Holzkirchen, and Rosenheim directly to the skiing area. Thanks to KitzSki's snow depots, which store snow from the previous season, skiing can begin as early as late autumn.
