Imster Bergbahnen Skiing Area

A family-friendly skiing area with night tobogganing and an Alpine Coaster at the Alpjoch, above Imst

The Hoch-Imst Skiing Area is particularly popular with families and beginners thanks to its manageable size. Modern 10-person gondola cabins whisk you comfortably and accessibly from Hoch-Imst up to the mountain station at 2,100 metres. Awaiting you there, alongside the SunOrama viewing platform and the Adlerhorst (Eagle's Nest), are more than 10 kilometres of varied slopes. For experienced skiers, the steep "Pratz Bäume" run, with a gradient of up to 60%, offers a particular challenge. Incidentally, the skiing area boasts a history of over 50 years.

Younger guests can practise their first turns on the nursery slopes at the base station, supported by the trained ski instructors of the Imst Ski School, along with fun figures and the mascots Albin and Bobo. The Family Park, located near the middle station by the Malchbach Lift, offers additional attractions. Fancy a refreshment break? The Latschenhütte and the UAlm (Untermarkter Alm) mountain huts invite you to relax on their sun terraces. A special adventure begins at the Untermarkter Alm: The Alpine Coaster Imst whizzes down into the valley at speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour. This toboggan run on rails is operational in both summer and winter.

A natural toboggan run also starts here. The second winter toboggan run, the Obermarkter Alm toboggan run, is floodlit three times a week. The Latschenhütte extends its opening hours on these evenings. Snowshoe hikers and ski tourers will find one of the most beautiful snowshoe tours in the Imst holiday region on the Ursprungweg, a path which runs parallel to the ski slope.
