Hochkössen in the Kaiserwinkl holiday region, a popular hiking area in summer on the northern slopes of the 1,773-metre-high Unterberghorn in the Kaiser Mountains, transforms into an award-winning ski resort in winter, boasting the Tyrolean Seal of Quality for Slopes. The prominent local mountain of Kössen attracts winter sports enthusiasts with its well-structured pistes and toll-free access from Bavaria. 11 lifts, including two magic carpets, whisk you up the mountain.
At the valley station, you'll find the Kössen Snowsports School with special children's programmes. Sunny's practice area, featuring conveyor belts, a carousel, and the "Snow V" braking aid, will delight younger skiers. A dedicated family slope and the Snowman Card, a discounted rate for children, complete the family-friendly offering. Over 22 kilometres of pistes offer runs for all abilities - from beginner to expert. The black run and the training centre with slalom and giant slalom slopes are particularly popular in the Hochkössen Skiing Area.
With iSKI Analytics, you can analyse your ski performance data free of charge. Fancy a break? Then enjoy a stop at the Scheibenwald Mountain Hut, the Bärenhütte, or the Gipfelhaus Unterberghorn. Back at the valley station, Sigi's Sportklause awaits. Away from the pistes, winter paragliding, winter hiking, and cross-country skiing beckon. The Hochkössen Skiing Area is covered by the Kaiserwinkl Ski Card, which also includes the Lärchenhof and Amberglift Skiing Areas.
