Gentle slopes and panoramic views: skiing on the Grubigstein mountain in Lermoos

The Grubigstein Cable Car and the Hochmoos-Express transport winter sports enthusiasts from the edge of Lermoos comfortably to over 2,000 metres, where the approximately 28 kilometres of pistes on the Grubigstein begin. The Family Jet also starts directly in the village but is shorter. The predominantly easy and intermediate slopes are ideal for families and leisurely skiers, and are also appreciated by carvers. Thanks to a free shuttle bus, the Grubigstein is connected to the smaller neighbouring ski resort of Marienberg in Biberwier, offering a further 12.3 kilometres of pistes.
The panoramic view from the Grubigstein mountain is impressive, extending to the 2,962-metre Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak. The ski resort is part of the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena Ski Region and also offers views on the Lechtal Alps, the Ammergau Alps, the Mieming Range, and the Wetterstein Mountains. Particularly popular are the almost 10-kilometre-long "Blueline XXL", one of Austria's longest easy slopes, and the Skimovie run.
For snowboarders and freeriders, there's a natural snowboarding area with its own descent and a fun park with jumps. From the Brettalm, the longest natural toboggan run in the Zugspitz Arena leads to the Hochmoos-Express valley station. Night-time tobogganing takes place once a week.
