Follow in James Bond’s tracks at the small ski resort on the ski and adventure mountain, the Golzentipp

The Obertilliach Cable Cars whisk you up to the Golzentipp Skiing Area at 2,317 metres. This high-altitude ski resort in the Upper Lesachtal boasts 12 kilometres of snow-sure slopes and a further three kilometres of ski routes. Snow cannons also ensure reliable snow conditions. A definite plus is the resort's manageable size, and the winter fun begins right on your doorstep. Nowhere else in East Tyrol are the slopes as easy to reach as in the listed mountain village of Obertilliach.
The new 10-person gondola lift starts directly in the village. Even Daniel Craig graced the village slopes while filming the James Bond movie "Spectre"! At the base station, you'll also find two drag lifts perfect for your first turns. A few years ago, the Kinderland at the Himbeergoll lift was added, a children's area and an adventure playground complete with a mogul run, a series of jumps, and character figures marking the turns. The ski school meeting point is also located here. Parents can watch the action unfold from the terrace of the Almfamily Hotel Scherer.
Looking for variety? Obertilliach is also popular with cross-country skiers, ski tourers, and tobogganists. The Golzentipp high-altitude cross-country ski trail starts directly at the mountain station, while the Obertilliach Cross-country Skiing and Biathlon Centre in the valley offers a 60-kilometre network of magnificent trails. In addition, there's a roughly 7-kilometre-long toboggan run from the Conny-Alm mountain hut down to the valley within the ski resort.
