At the northern shores of Lake Achensee, the Hochalm Lifts take you into the snow sure skiing area in the Karwendel Mountains

From the lake to the mountain... only a few hundred metres from Lake Achensee, there is the valley station of the Hochalm lift facilities which lead up to 1,800 m a.s.l. To be precise, it is the Christlum Express that takes you to 27 km of ski slopes. The Christlum Skiing Area can be reached from Innsbruck and Munich within an hour and is therefore ideal for a weekend getaway.
The Christlum Skiing Area, situated on the western flank of the Karwendel Mountains, is rather snow-sure due to its position and to the state-of-the-art snow-making equipment. The offer for skiers and snowboarders includes FIS approved slopes, carving slopes and mogul fields. The Cabrio-Flitzer, however, one of the lift facilities, takes you to the Christl Fun Park with boardercross slope. For children there is the Christlum Dino Park with the DinoJet practise lift.
Perfect for a rest is the Christlum Lounge with its sun chairs. No space for a pair of skis or a snowboard? Don't worry, there are three ski rentals and two ski schools in Achenkirch. Also the popular tobogganing evenings and special ski days are organised, such as the "Fountain of Youth" - a reduced ticket for guests aged 50+ - or the "School-free Zone", a day ticket for students.
