Bergeralm Ski & Fun Arena - Wipptal

The Bergeralm in the Wipptal valley: the perfect ski resort for families and night owls

The Bergeralm Ski & Fun Arena in the Wipptal valley, 20 kilometres south of Innsbruck, is a manageable ski resort, particularly popular with beginners and families. The Bergeralm Cable Car takes you from Steinach am Brenner, near the entrance to the Gschnitztal valley, up to the ski resort. Most of the easy slopes are located in the upper area by the Hochsonn Lift. For families, there's a dedicated family run and the Bergeralm Kids' Ski Land with magic carpets and the mascot Noah, a small brown bear. A children's ski cross track also awaits the little speedsters.

If you're just starting out with skiing or want to improve your technique, the Bergeralm Ski School can help. Parents taking a ski course can leave their children (aged three and above) at the Bärennest in the Panorama Restaurant. In addition to 29.5 kilometres of slopes, the Bergeralm offers a mogul slope, a timed run, and the Manni Pranger slope, Austria's steepest groomed downhill run. The longest descent stretches for 5 kilometres through the Nösslachjoch Valley.

A special highlight is the Night Ride, which takes place three times a week. This allows you to enjoy night skiing on several runs equipped with World Cup-standard lighting. The Bergeralm is one of the largest night skiing arenas in Europe. Even international World Cup teams, such as the Swedish and Austrian teams, appreciate the reliable snow conditions for their training. Away from the slopes, you can enjoy the winter landscape on cross-country skis on the high-altitude trail.
