The capital of the region, Landeck, is a cosy town, which offers, besides its great natural landscape with waterfalls and gorges, also Landeck Castle, a museum and cultural centre. Events such as concerts and the Advent in the Castle are held there. Due to its position between mountain passes such as the Finstermünz Pass leading to the Swiss Engadine, and the Resia Pass in South Tyrol, the valley is popular with bikers, both motorized and not. In winter, the area turns into a ski centre.
