Weather from December to February brings lots of snow. Winter sport enthusiasts can look forward to perfect conditions
Sun-drenched landscapes that are covered with snow... a real winter wonderland, that's what expects you from the end of November in the single skiing areas of Tyrol. Also in the valley, the winter transforms the scenery into a romantic setting, perfect to be enjoyed in a torchlight walk and horse-drawn sleigh rides. In December, a more contemplative period starts. Christmas markets open their gates, Christmas sounds resound all over and many customs such as the Krampus parade and the so-called "Klaubaufgehen" are celebrated.
The new year, however, is welcomed with ski shows and fireworks. Often the celebrations start even one day before. Whatever you plan, we recommend you to bring warm clothes, as temperatures significantly fall at night up to minus 7 degrees C. Enjoy your glass of mulled wine.
