From September to November, nature shines in its most colourful splendour and it is time for the harvest period
The leaves turn red and yellow, the days get shorter. Autumn is also harvest period in Tyrol and for this reason, delicious fresh treats can be enjoyed not only on the occasion of the traditional harvest festivals. Even if it is getting colder on the Alpine pastures, those who do the last mountain walks can enjoy an abnormal good visibility. Also the cattle returns home in autumn.
On this occasion, the cows and sheep are lushly decorated and down in the valleys, they are warmly welcomed with celebrations, music and entertainment as well as culinary highlights. The temperatures go down to the zero degree level, the first snow is approaching. It is high time for a hot beverage and a freshly baked cake...
