At the Halsmarter intermediate station on Mt. Glungezer, the local mountain of Tulfes, a particular world of experience was founded at 1,560 m a.s.l. The so-called Marble Forest (Kugelwald am Glungezer) offers - as the name reveals - a giant wooden ball run in the open countryside. At the 8,000 sqm large world of experience there's much to discover with the mascot "Zwugl": A big tree house, sound elements and the Magic Tree are - among many other - the highlights.
Besides the interactive stations and the 500 m long wooden ball run facilities, the Marble Forest on Mt. Glungezer includes four theme areas: the relax area with viewing platform, the classroom in the forest for school classes, the place where the kids can build by themselves, and the new toddler area in front of the Halsmarter inn, which invites you to taste the local dishes.
Only natural wood was used to realise the Marble Forest on Mt. Glungezer: It is located at the beginning of one of the biggest Swiss pine populations of Europe. Also the Stone Pine Path proceeds through this particular landscape. It is 7 km long and snakes its way through the wonderful landscape between Mt. Patscherkofel and Mt. Glungezer.
