11 particular power places in the area of Längenfeld help to recover, to unwind and to relax
Image gallery: Längenfeld Source of Strength
The whole area around Längenfeld is deemed to be a huge energy field. Within this field some special power places can be discovered as part of the Längenfeld Source of Strength (Kraftquell Längenfeld). Along the Source of Strength hiking paths, yellow signposts lead to spots, which are rumoured to have a particular power: calming, strengthening or relaxing.
The Längenfeld Source of Strength consists of 11 power places, two of them are thematic paths. Along the Legend Trail, sagas are simulated by life-size figures (starting point: soccer ground in Huben, 2 hours). The second one is the Gries Reflection Path which starts at the Mary Help of Christians Church (1 hour). Other power places are the suspension bridge 220 m above the valley bottom, the Oetztal Heritage and Outdoor Museum, and the Pest Chapel from the 17th century.
Also the impressive nature of the valley must not be lacking. It is reresented by the other power places which include the Lehner Waterfall (starting point: Oetztal Heritage and Outdoor Museum, 50 minutes), Lake Winkelberg (starting point: Au-Winklen, 2.5 hours), the Strelesperre via ferrata (starting point: Fischbach Bridge, 2.5 hours), and the Adlerblick and Teufelskanzel observation decks. The 11th place, the Oetztal Nature Park House, has been added recently. Längenfeld is also a medical high altitude centre, also football teams come here for training.
