Schlick 2000 is a popular hiking area in the heart of the Stubaital valley. The network of adventure trails created there offers not only the StubaiBlick viewing platform and a nature trail, but also the Disc Trail Schlick 2000 (Scheibenweg Schlick 2000) with a special wooden companion.
Starting point is the Kreuzjoch mountain station, more precisely the Panorama Lake at 1,600 m a.s.l. accessible from Fulpmes. The nearby Schlickeralm also offers a petting zoo and an adventure playground in summer, so that the hike starts in the best possible way. From the hut, the Disc Trail leads constantly downhill, 1.5 km resp. one hour, to the Froneben intermediate station and the same-named hut (1,306 m a.s.l.). An alternative is the ascent by cable car to the Froneben intermediate station and the walk uphill for 45 minutes to the starting point, the Panorama Lake.
At the edge of the Disc Trail Schlick 2000 through the spruce forest there is a channel into which you can put the wooden disc. This will then roll - with watchfulness - along the path next to you and should not fall to the ground. The wooden disc can be borrowed at the cash desk of the valley station and returned again until 5 pm of the same day. Have fun!
