The Osttirodler, an Alpine Coaster, can be reached by taking the Schlossberg Cable Car, which takes you from the Hochstein valley station to the Moosalm pasture at the Lienzer Schlossberg hill. If you come with your kids, here you will probably have to stop for the first time, as the petting zoo, the adventure playground, and the largest climbing park of East Tyrol will delight the whole family.
In this place, also the Osttirodler, one of the longest Alpine Coasters in the world, starts. Alone or in twos, in summer you can enjoy rushing down the 2.7 km into the valley, overcoming speedy curves and a breathtaking height. If you keep your eyes open while enjoying this thrill, you can admire Bruck Castle and the town of Lienz, before you leave the sledge in the finish area.
The thrilling ride takes about 5-6 minutes, two handbrakes make you decide how fast you want to ride. In order to guarantee you safety, there are a high speed regulation, a double track system, a system that prevents the sledge from running off the rails and many more features.
