Today we hike from the Alpenhaus Mountain Hut to Mt. Kitzbüheler Horn (1,996 m a.s.l.), unforgettable panoramic views included

Our starting point, the Alpenhaus Mountain Hut, is accessible either by cable car or by car via the panoramic road. We choose the second version and get rewarded by fantastic views on the valley. 7.5 km and 18 (!!) bends later we reach the Alpenhaus Hut. Behind the building the wide, asphalted hiking path starts uphill. After about 20 minutes we have to decide if we carry on walking along the road, or we try the cross country route through the Alpine Flower Garden Kitzbüheler Horn.
The garden, opened in 1985, shows on 20,000 sqm flowers from all over the world. At the end of the garden, the road leads us up to the summit cross and further to the peak of Mt. Kitzbüheler Horn at 1,996 m a.s.l. This last section is a bit steeper than before. At the summit we admire the alpine world, even the snowy mountains of the High Tauern shine afar. In the end we reward ourselves with a fluffy yeast dough dumpling at the Alpenhaus Hut.
