Hike on the Peter-Anich-Weg path

On the trail of the famous Tyrolean cartographer Peter Anich: This walking tour across the terraces of the Inntal valley we recommend especially in spring

Actually the Peter Anich Path (Peter-Anich-Weg) starts in Oberperfuss, Anich's home village with the Anich-Hueber Museum. But we start further west, in the village of Ranggen. At the church we follow the main road uphill and then the Riedpuite road, where we already find the first signpost "Peter-Anich-Weg". Through the wood we walk to the hamlet of Eben and then through the Mühltal valley to Hof. The gentle hilly countryside of the Inntal valley terraces characterizes this area where villages, hamlets and farms can be found. Hattingberg and Pollingberg are the next small mountain villages called, through which the path proceeds.

Almost along the entire route we enjoy a gorgeous view across the Inntal valley and from the Karwendel Mountains to the Mieming Range with the impressive Hohe Munde. Almost the whole path is easy to walk, partly along forest roads with short asphalted sections, then on narrower wooded trails. In Pollingberg the ascent down to the valley starts. It proceeds past the farms of Bärfall along the road to Flaurling. Along meadow paths we bypass the village to carry on walking towards Oberhofen and Pfaffenhofen. Here our 14 km long hike ends. The way back to our starting point can also be done by public transport.
