This easy hiking trail is located in the Rofan Mountains, called Brandenberg Alps, and offers fantastic panoramic views

On this bright sunny day we walk to the valley station of the Rofan Cable Car near Maurach am Achensee which takes us up to the Rofan Mountains. Already in the gondola we enjoy a fantastic view on Lake Achensee. Arrived at the mountain station at 1,834 m a.s.l. we admire two attractions: the viewing platform Adlerhorst on the peak of Mt. Gschöllkopf (2,040 m a.s.l.), and the SkyGlider AirRofan, which pulls you up on the mountain and brings you back to the station.
Directly at the mountain station, the Erfurt Mountain Hut (Erfurter Hütte) is located, and behind of it, the hiking path to the Dalfaz Mountain Hut (Dalfaz Alm) starts, situated about 150 m lower. The path leads us across country past a lake and through a forest. Deep down the blue gleaming Lake Achensee with the mighty mountains of the Karwendel Alpine Park are located. We carry on and arrive at the starting point of the paragliders. After a turn finally the hut comes in sight: This little farmed mountain inn at 1,693 m a.s.l. offers typical Tyrolean delicacies. Finally we turn back along the same path, but you can also descend to the Dalfaz Waterfall and directly down to the valley.
