This demanding tour over the Geiseljoch pass starts at Pill near Schwaz. Right at the start it leads uphill on the road until Weerberg. It continues towards south above the Weertal valley to the hamlet of Innerberg and to the Innerst tavern, where the MTB route no. 403 begins. A short section on a single trail connects to the forest road, which leads through the forest to the Weidener Mountain Hut and the meadows of the Nafing Mountain Hut. The Weidener Hut at 1,800 m a.s.l. is the only refreshment point on the central section of the trail and an ideal place for our lunch break. From there, there are 500 m of altitude difference left to the Geiseljoch.
On this pass, the highest point of our tour, on a section of approx. 1 km we have to push our bike. There the route no. 403 ends and the no. 424 leads down into the Tux Valley. The gravel road leads into an asphalted road on the last section. At Vorderlandersbach the no. 424 and the described tour end. To get back to the starting point, you can descend along the Tux road to Mayrhofen, and from there return via cycle paths or with the Zillertal Railway, which also carries bikes.
