Zillertal Cycle Route

This 30 km long cycle route is ideal for leisurely tours through the lower Zillertal valley from Strass to Mayrhofen

At the Ziller Bridge east of Strass, the Zillertal Cycle Route (Radweg Zillertal) branches off from the Inn Cycle Route towards south. It follows first the course of the Ziller stream, bypasses the village of Schlitters, and runs through the middle of the valley to the heights of Hartl and Fügen, where it leads back to the river dam. Past Uderns, Ried and Kaltenbach, the path leads to Aschau where it follows the tracks of the Zillertal Railway until Zell am Ziller. Again following the riverbank we cycle via Hippach and Ramsau to Mayrhofen, where the cycle route ends near the train station.

The Zillertal Cycle Route is connected to all villages in the valley via forest paths and side roads, so there are alternative routes on several sections. Due to the almost flat route, it is considered particularly family-friendly. Via the cycle path you can reach the villages, the stations of the railway line, MTB routes to the surrounding mountains, and the valley stations of the cable cars.
