Tyrol has a well-developed network of cycle paths and routes: In this way all main valleys of the country are interconnected

Due to the widely slight ascent of the cycle paths they are very popular among bicycle tourers and also locals: The Tyrolean cycle paths are partly asphalted or proceed on well traced out gravelled or field paths. Some cycle routes, such as those through the Inntal or Zillertal valleys, run parallel to a railway line. So bicycles can be transported in the train in case of bad weather or fatigue - if there's sufficient space. Elsewhere bike shuttle services are available during the summer season.
