Scintillating jewels and glittering figures expect you in the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens

In Wattens east of Innsbruck you can find a breathtaking adventure world: In 1995, the Crystal Worlds (Swarovski Kristallwelten) were established on the occasion of the centenary anniversary of the foundation of the crystal company Swarovski. Already the entrance amazes as it features the shape of a huge spouting head of an alpine giant, created by the Austrian artist André Heller. After having left behind the Giant and entered the Swarovski Crystal Worlds, everything revolves around these minerals. In the 18 Chambers of Wonder, internationally and nationally recognized artists, designers, and architects have interpreted crystal in their own unique ways.
The chambers have fine-sounding names like "Blue Hall" and "La Primadonna Assoluta", "El Sol" and "Chandelier Jungle". One of the central halls is the Crystal Dome with its dome made of 595 mirrors, whereas the "The Art of Performance" Chamber of Wonder celebrates the longstanding relationship of Swarovski with Hollywood's top entertainers and creatives. At the end of November 2024, two new chambers will be added: "Pulse Voronoi" will be the largest Chamber of Wonder at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds, and "Kristallstimmen", which will be a room under a roof made of 3,000 floating speakers made of crystals. Both have been projected by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer.
Due to the 120th anniversary of Swarovski's founding some years ago, the Crystal Worlds have been redesigned: Now there's also a playtower and a playground, as well as the unique Crystal Cloud in the garden, an installation consisting of 800,000 hand-mounted crystals which drifts above the black Mirror Pool. The "Daniels Kristallwelten by DoN" restaurant invites you to some culinary delicacies. Furthermore there's the Crystal Bar and - at the weekends - the food truck.
