The Tilliach Valley (Tilliacher Tal) is a popular excursion destination with a beautiful lake: the Klapfsee. At this lake, the road into the valley ends at a barrier. In the lake and the nearby mountain stream, fishing is allowed - the fishing rights are in possession of the Unterwöger Hotel.
A popular hike takes you from Lake Klapfsee at 1,680 m a.s.l. to the alpine world of the East Tyrolean mountains. One hour the ascent to the Porze Mountain Hut lasts, it is located at the Carnic main ridge in the mountaineers village of Obertilliach. If you want to extend your hike, you can try the easy 3-hour via ferrata to the peak of Mt. Porze (2,589 m a.sl.).
