65 km of varied ski slopes in an altitude ranging from 1,750 m and 3,210 m a.s.l. are waiting for you on the Stubai Glacier, called Stubaier Gletscher in German. The Glacier Cable Car has been put into operation in 1973. Nowadays, several state-of-the-art lift facilities can be found on the Dauerferner, Eisjochferner, Gaiskarferner, Fernauferner and Windachferner peaks.
The skiing area is snow sure from autumn to May. On 3,000 m a.s.l. you can rent your skiing equipment, likewise at the mountain station Eisgrat where another deposit is located. Moreover there is the Stubai Zoo Snow Park for snowboarders and freestylers featuring banked cross, rails and many more obstacles. Racers will enjoy the race course in the Stubai Glacier Skiing Area.
However, not only experts feel at ease on the glacier slopes, but also ski-kids, which are cared for in the BIG Family Ski-Camp by professional ski instructors. While your kids enjoy playing and painting at the mountain station Gamsgarten, mummy and daddy can carelessly enjoy skiing. A free ski bus service connects the single villages in the Stubaital valley to the glacier.
