The world of hearing with its numerous facets is interactively presented in the AUDIOVERSUM

Near the Taxispalais Art Hall in Innsbruck, a special adventure world is waiting for you. There almost everything is about hearing (Latin: audio = I hear). The interactive stations - developed together with the Ars Electronica Centre Linz - invite to participate. In the AUDIOVERSUM, medicine, technology, education and art are combined, so it's a real science centre.
Do you want to make a three-dimensional journey through the ear or experience how memories are functioning? It's all possible! Visitors can embark on a sonic journey, try spatial hearing at the binaural game or play melodies at the Hair Cells station. What is new, are the Audiospace, an innovative 3-D sound installation, the Singing Wall and the Sound Labyrinth with virtual walls which become visible only when audio signals are generated.
The barrier-free permanent exhibition is completed by the two special exhibitions "STAY SAFE - from trust to security" about measures taking by people to protect themselves against dangers and to face their fears, and "Look who's talking", an exhibition about voice and speaking. Then you may have a look at the museum shop or have a coffee at the Hör-Bar.
