What you definitely need is a portion of patience... even if deer are quite big and strong, they are rather shy. But if you take your time you can for sure observe these animals as well. However, not only deer can be admired on the 80,000 sqm included in the Wildlife Park (Wildpark Assling), but also whistling marmots, sweet racoons, lynxes and other wildcats, eagles, martens and wild boars.
About 100 animals of 35 different species move about freely in the park, which provides adventurous moments for adults and children. By the way: The Assling Wildlife Park is one of the awarded Austrian animal parks! Those who are awarded with the Austrian seal, are subject to a regular, voluntary control by an independent Austrian team of experts in the farming of animals.
And if your kids still seek adventures, there are also the Summer Coaster "Fun Alpin East Tyrol" - a summer toboggan run on rails -, an educational nature trail, "Opa's Modelleisenbahn" (Grandpa's model railway) and the Bärenwirt which invites to a stop for some local delicacies.
