International Balloon Festival

Some 25 balloons will ascend and float over the beautiful mountains and valleys for three weeks in January 2025 during the International Balloon Festival. Get there early to see them all lift off and glow in the morning sun. By early morning, the skies are dotted with the bright colours of the balloons as they float above the scenic Alpine valley’s winter wonderland below. Each year a variety of concessions are available, and entertainment is provided. Or, find yourself in a thatched basket hundreds of feet up, looking down on the lofty peaks of the Tirolese Mountains on a Tannheimertal Valley balloon ride (daily at 10:30am).

Spectating is free. Balloon rides are available at Euro 290.00 per person
