Description
3…2…1 – "Happy New Year!" Innsbruck launches into 2025 with its unique Mountain New Year's Eve celebration. Right at midnight, the traditional "Blue Danube Waltz" will play, and high above on the Seegrube, a colourful high-altitude firework display will be ignited.
The New Year's Eve festivities begin at 5 pm with the Innsbruck New Year's Eve Run, marking the year's sporting finale. Also from 5 pm, the 3D façade mapping invites you on a tour through the city. This involves artistic light projections onto several historic buildings: the Hofburg Imperial Palace, the Cathedral of St. James, and the Mariahilf row of houses on the Inn River. The display is accompanied by a sound production. At 9 pm, the party truly gets started in front of the Hofburg Imperial Palace. The programme features "StreetLIVE Family" and a DJ set. After midnight, the celebrations continue at the Congress Innsbruck with "New Year's Eve Beats".
And of course, there's a New Year's Eve celebration for children too. The little ones can welcome the new year a day early, on 30 December. Starting at 1 pm, numerous play and craft stations, puppet shows, and a participatory circus will be available throughout the Old Town and on Domplatz (Cathedral Square).
