Since 2000/2001, the men's and women's Alpine Ski World Cup Opening has been taking place on the Rettenbach Glacier in Sölden in the beautiful Oetztal valley. The programme:

Friday, October 26, 2018 - Postplatz square, Sölden:
1 - 4 pm: FIS Forum Alpinum in the Freizeit Arena
5 pm: KRONE World Cup Party
6.30 pm: women's bib number drawing
afterwards: KRONE World Cup Party

Saturday, October 27, 2018 - Rettenbach Glacier:
10 am: 1st run Women's GSL
afterwards: Party with the Ö3-PistenBully
1 pm: 2nd run Women's GSL
afterwards: award ceremony Women's GSL, Ö3-PistenBully

Saturday, October 27, 2018 - Postplatz square Sölden:
5 pm: fan clubs parade, KRONE World Cup Party
6.30 pm: prize giving ceremony Women's GSL
6.45 pm: men's bib number drawing
afterwards: KRONE World Cup Party
8 pm: ORF Radio Tirol World Party (Freizeit Arena, admission: 9 Euros)

Sunday, October 28, 2018 - Rettenbach Glacier:
