Carnival: Telfer Schleicherlaufen

The highlight of the Telfs Carnival is the so-called "Schleicherlaufen": the "Schleicher" are figures in wonderful costumes with a big hat and a bell. This tradition goes back to the year 1890 and is celebrated every 5 years, attracting thousand of visitors.

In 2010 the "Telfer Schleicherlaufen" was listed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
